Anthony Lanza, a founding member of Lanza & Smith PLC, has over 25 years of experience in business, real estate and commercial litigation.
Anthony Lanza has successfully handled multiple sophisticated litigation matters through resolution, in state, federal, and appellate courts, including actions involving disputes under the Commercial Code, breach of fiduciary duty, directors & officers liability, malicious prosecution, securities, fraud, RICO and dozens of contract disputes. Anthony Lanza has substantial real estate litigation experience, including: commercial unlawful detainer, nuisance, trespass, construction claims, mechanics liens, judicial and non-judicial foreclosure, premises liability, inverse condemnation, eminent domain, and breach of real property purchase contracts.
Mr. Lanza is a successful trial attorney, as partially evidenced by a $1.5 million unanimous jury trial verdict he obtained – as lead trial counsel – in federal court in the matter of Martin v. Arrow Electronics, which was the second largest federal trial verdict in Orange County in 2006.
Brodie Smith is a partner at Lanza & Smith. He has practiced primarily business and real estate litigation since 2002, with a focus on RICO cases (Racketeering Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act), and employment defense.
Mr. Smith has had a remarkable history of success in trials and arbitration hearings, and a large percentage of Mr. Smith's practice is in United States District Courts. Representative cases include defending a $6.5 million RICO lawsuit with a unanimous jury verdict, and obtaining dismissals in a multi-million dollar RICO lawsuit filed by the largest importer of Chinese garlic in the world.
Jennifer Tanios is an associate attorney with Lanza & Smith, PLC. She has extensive experience in business and real estate, notably including over 10 years' experience in litigation and transactional engagements. She has represented various institutions including corporations, partnerships, and limited liability companies regarding commercial and related topics.
Ms. Nguyen is an associate attorney at Lanza & Smith. Her litigation practice is grounded in over 14 years of courtroom and advocacy experience.
